O. R. Colan Associates, LLC (ORC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. David Stentz as Project Manager for operations in Gahanna, Ohio. David has been involved in real estate acquisition for 26 years, working primarily in Central and Southeastern Ohio.
A Columbus native, David graduated from Franklin University with a BS in Business Administration and from Capital University with an MBA. He comes to ORC from a competing right-of-way consulting firm, where he managed and negotiated acquisitions for major right-of-way projects. This follows a long stretch at the Ohio Department of Transportation where David pioneered the design and use of ODOT’s first outsourcing program. Additionally, he worked with Local Public Agencies statewide on property acquisitions for highway projects, and he assisted representatives of the Federal Highway Administration with training. His high level experience has equipped David with a deep knowledge of state and federal policies, strong relationships with industry professionals, and experienced leadership skills.
Historically, ORC’s work in Central Ohio has been managed from neighboring offices in Cleveland and Cincinnati. More recently, however, ORC established a distinct and growing Central Ohio presence in our Gahanna office where Mr. Stentz will lead the local agents who have been working in conjunction with ORC’s Utility and Infrastructure division. “There is a great expansion opportunity for ORC in the Columbus market,” Mr. Stentz explains. “I am excited to lead the local ORC team, one that has already done such great work in Central Ohio. This is an excellent group - everyone is really invested in the work ORC does - and I look forward to working with them.”
ORC is a privately-owned company that has provided appraisal, acquisition and relocation services for infrastructure projects since its establishment in 1969. Originally established as a West Virginia company, the firm is recognized as a national industry expert in implementing programs for public agencies in accordance with the Federal Uniform Relocation and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (Public Law 91-646, as amended) (“URA”) and local regulations and laws. On average, ORC acquires more than 2,000 parcels and relocates more than 500 occupants annually.
