O. R. Colan Associates, LLC (ORC) is thrilled to announce the addition of two experienced field managers to our operational staff.
Mr. Gary Brown is a 30-year real estate professional, and he has joined the ORC Team as Senior Project Manager. In this capacity, he will oversee all operations and business development activities throughout the State of Texas. Before joining ORC, Mr. Brown owned and operated Pohl, Brown & Associates, Inc., a land acquisition and development firm in Austin, TX. Mr. Brown managed a team of 50 real estate professionals, and he successfully built Pohl, Brown & Associates into a $1 billion firm with 1000 equity investors worldwide. As ORC’s Senior Manager in the State of Texas, Mr. Brown has already made great strides in identifying exciting business opportunities with a variety of public agencies. With the assistance of ORC’s Texas team, he is also in the process of assuming management responsibilities for the firm’s on-going projects, including the Dallas-Ft. Worth Connector Project sponsored by TxDOT.
Mr. Brown is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Trinity University (San Antonio, TX), and he attended the graduate level Real Estate program at the University of Texas in Austin. He is a lifelong resident of Austin, TX, but he has relocated to Dallas to assume his new role with ORC.
ORC is also pleased to announce the return of Project Manager Michael Tressler to our Mid-Atlantic Regional Team. Mr. Tressler was a key member of the ORC teams assigned to past projects such as the Dayton International Airport Land Acquisition Program, the on-going New Jersey Schools Development Authority’s reconstruction program, and a host task-orders assigned by the Ohio Department of Transportation. Mr. Tressler left the ORC Team in 2004 to pursue an opportunity in Australia, where he led multi-million dollar Greenfield construction and facility redevelopment projects for Inchcape-Australia, Ltd. In this capacity, Mr. Tressler directly managed projects that include corporate head offices, retail stores, warehouses, and processing facilities, and he was also directly involved in other high-level management and business development activities.
Mr. Tressler is a native Virginian, and he has direct experience as an acquisition agent with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). In his renewed role with the ORC Team, he will manage all projects within the Commonwealth, including the upcoming Midtown Tunnel/Martin Luther King (MLK) Extension Project in Norfolk, VA. Mr. Tressler will also be heavily involved in business development exercises throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, and he has already helped secure an on-call task-order contract with the Virginia Department of Transportation (Area R, Bristol District).
Mike Tressler holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI). He earned his B.A. in Management Studies from the University of Maryland, and he also earned his MBA from Regis University. Mr. Tressler is also active in the International Right-of-Way Association. |
