O.R. Colan Associates

Congratulations to Ted Pluta and Charles Grombacher with O. R. Colan Associates who were both recognized as “Instructors of Excellence” for 2008 by the National Highway Institute (NHI), the training arm of the Federal Highway Administration.  This award is truly an honor for these ORC employees.  In a letter from Richard J. Barnaby, NHI Training Director, Ted and Charlie were acknowledged for their “consistent skills, hard work and dedication to training for NHI and the transportation community.”  NHI courses are accepted by IRWA for continuing education credit.

This is the second year in a row Ted Pluta has been recognized as an “Instructor of Excellence”.  He achieved an overall rating of 4.9 on a scale of 5.0, teaching five NHI relocation courses in 2008, with 150 trainees.  Charlie achieved an overall rating of 4.8, instructing five relocation sessions, with 153 participants. 

For all of you who have had the opportunity to attend a course with one or both of these fine instructors, you know that this distinction is well-deserved.  They are among the top experts in the right-of-way profession who always make the learning experience worthwhile.
