Press Release – ORC Appoints Brian Armitage to Lead National Utility Sector Print E-mail

O. R. Colan Associates, LLC (ORC) is proud to welcome Brian Armitage as our new Utility Department Senior Development Manager. In this capacity, he will assist all regional operations with business development activities, as ORC strengthens its presence in the utility sector. Mr. Armitage’s experience and in-depth understanding in this area will greatly enhance our operational goals.

Prior to joining ORC, Mr. Armitage was the Associate Vice-President of Land Resources for ARCADIS, overseeing operations across the entire southern U.S. Mr. Armitage also co-founded GCPA, Inc., a ROW acquisition firm that operated throughout the South, West, and Mid-Atlantic states. During his 15 year tenure as principal of GCPA, Mr. Armitage successfully built the firm to a staff of 142 professionals working in 14 states.

Previous experience in the Utility sector has included: FP&L, Tampa Bay Water, ACOE, City of Atlanta Water & Sewer, Cobb Water Systems, Signal Wind, LS Power, G T C, Sempra Energy, and Duke. Clients of national scope with industrial or commercial lines have included: Lockheed-Martin, Ford Motor Co., RTKL, Skanska, Touro University, Carlotta Copper Mines and others.

Mr. Armitage earned Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Johns University in Minnesota. He is a licensed real estate broker in the States of Florida and Washington, he is a certified Texas Easement of Right-of-Way Agent, and was previously active in the International Right of Way Association Chapter 76 Central District.
