O. R. Colan Associates, LLC, (ORC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Wendy Sutton, C.M. as a new Project Manager for the state of Michigan. She will work closely with Tracy Jones, Regional Vice President on business development, client retention and regional growth. Ms. Sutton will supervise, coordinate and manage the activities and operations of the project team through the project’s lifecycle.

Prior to joining ORC, Ms. Sutton was the Vice President of Business Development and Real Estate, overseeing and managing real estate, construction and alteration, permitting, air service and concessions departments for a commercial hub airport (DTW) and reliever airport (YIP). She also spent 10 years as the Director/Department Administrator – Airport Real Estate & Business Development, responsible for real estate development and management activities inclusive of airline terminal space, hanger, cargo, and commercial facilities, and all other airport property.

During her career, Ms. Sutton has worked on acquisition and right-of-way projects consisting of more than 500 properties, readied more than 20 aeronautical and non-aeronautical sites for development or disposal, including all facets of site planning. She facilitated the sale of multiple parcels of surplus airport property, which included large scale land exchanges with public agency partners. Ms. Sutton is a Licensed Real Estate Professional in the State of Michigan and is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives, Michigan Association of Airport Executives, International Right of Way Association (IRWA), Urban Land Institute, and Economic Development Leadership Council. She previously served on the Wayne County Airport Authority Zoning Board, Southeastern Michigan Council of Governments and Michigan Economic Development Corp. – Development, Logistics & Supply Chain Committee, Detroit Regional Chamber and the Detroit Region Aerotropolis Executive Board.
