Indianapolis, IN – O. R. Colan Associates, LLC (ORC), one of the nation’s oldest firms specializing in land acquisition, relocation, and program management for infrastructure projects, proudly announces the hiring of Roger Varney as Project Manager in Indianapolis.

Mr. Varney will develop and manage the Wabash Valley Power Alliance’s (WVPA) right-of-way program. The WVPA is a growing electric transmission cooperative serving an alliance of 23 distribution co-ops in Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. As the Alliance’s overall capital land spending increases, Mr. Varney will apply Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline processes and meet program goals. To this end, he will develop land processes and procedures for the entire ORC team. Additionally, Mr. Varney will help develop and implement a training program, review and select vendors, and oversee all land and right-of-way projects for transmission lines and substation constructions.

“We are thrilled to have Roger join ORC as an in-house project manager for Wabash Valley Power. Roger’s experience in the right-of-way industry will bring great value to Wabash Valley Power as they continue to pursue their aggressive workplan in Indiana,” explains Richie McNally, Vice President of ORC’s Utility Division.
