Leading ORC’s Utility and Public Sector Divisions in Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri
O.R. Colan Associates (ORC), a nationwide leader in right of way acquisitions and related services since 1969, is proud to announce the promotion of Ben Ridling to Divisional Director for both Utility and Public Sector projects. In this new role, Ben will be the first Divisional Director to hold dual responsibilities over these two divisions, with a primary focus on projects across Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri.
Ben Ridling has been with ORC since 2013, joining the company as part of the Junior Agent program. Over the past decade, Ben has risen through the ranks thanks to his adaptability, leadership, and extensive project management experience in right of way services. His expertise spans across electric and gas transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and water and sewer projects. Ben has successfully managed a variety of projects, including Ameren Gas and Electric projects and renewable solar energy developments throughout the Midwest.

As Divisional Director, Ben will be responsible for guiding project teams, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving innovation in service delivery. Additionally, Ridling will work on business development opportunities that align with ORC’s business strategy, ensuring the company continues to expand its presence in key markets. His proven leadership and deep knowledge of the industry position him well to lead ORC in addressing the growing demand for utility infrastructure and public sector projects.

Ben Ridling holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Missouri–Columbia. He is a licensed real estate broker in Missouri and is an active member of various professional organizations, including the International Right of Way Association and the American Public Works Association.
