Owen Richard Colan Tribute

Steve Toth, Chief Executive Officer

Steve Toth, Chief Executive Officer, has diligently served ORC for over 30 years, beginning his journey as an Agent and ascending to Senior Manager, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2005, and later President in 2018. A University of Toledo graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, Steve’s strategic foresight has significantly contributed to ORC’s expansion. Named CEO in November 2023, his industry engagement is further demonstrated through his memberships in notable associations including the International Right of Way Association, Vistage, Association of State Floodplain Managers, American Society of Highway Engineers, and the American Council of Engineering Companies.

Carmen Johnson, Chief Financial & Administrative Officer

Carmen Johnson, CFO and CAO, has over 25 years of experience with a proven track record and successive increases in responsibility in corporate management focusing on; corporate finance, project finance, budget and forecasting, liability/risk management, human resource management, candidate attraction, employee engagement, development and retention, marketing strategies and team leadership while providing effective, efficient, and creative solutions to business problems.

Carmen oversees the Accounting, Human Resource, and Marketing teams and is responsible for strategic vision and implementation of key people strategies. Her accomplishments include multiple cost savings and efficiency projects, allowing support staff increased productivity and operational staff reliable and knowledgeable support services.

Carmen is a graduate of University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, receiving her MBA from Boise State University and her Master of Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. Further, she holds a certificate in Project Management from University North Carolina and has been a member of Vistage since 2009.

Christopher Castellano, Chief Information Officer

Christopher Castellano has led ORC’s IT Department for over 20 years and is currently the Chief Information Officer. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a MIS degree in Information Systems. He is responsible for all IT strategy, initiatives and decisions, supervising anything related to technology, such as support, network security and infrastructure as well as software development. Christopher also works directly as part of the system/network engineering, GIS and programming teams.

Richard McNally, Chief Operating Officer

Richard McNally, an alumnus of The College of Wooster, initiated his tenure at ORC in 2014, holding the position of Vice President of Utility & Infrastructure Land Services. Prior to this, Richie showcased his leadership as the Supervisor of Transmission – Right of Way at American Electric Power, managing business development and a team dedicated to acquiring property rights for a myriad of energy, gas, and renewable projects. His prowess and dedication at ORC led to his elevation to Executive Vice President (EVP), during which he significantly amplified ORC’s footprint within the utility sector. Recognizing his continual impact, ORC appointed Richie as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in November 2023.

Jordan Hohn, Executive Vice President of Public Sector Division

Jordan Hohn, an alum of Seton Hill University, started with ORC in 2020 as the Executive Vice-President (EVP) for the Public Sector. Jordan is responsible for implementing complex strategies and overseeing ORC’s Public Sector Division on a national level, while working closely with Divisional Directors to facilitate market-level operational goals. He also oversees client relations and conducts business development. Jordan has worked in the right-of-way industry for over 11 years, is an active member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Kale Suedkamp, Executive Vice President of ORC Utility & Infrastructure Land Services Division

Kale Suedkamp, a graduate of Kent State University, joined ORC in 2013 through the company’s junior agent program. In his initial role, he conducted acquisition offers and provided relocation assistance to property owners on behalf of state and local public agencies. After demonstrating excellence in the junior agent program, Suedkamp was promoted to Project Manager and later to Divisional Director. He played a crucial role in establishing ORC’s Columbus, Ohio office. Currently, Suedkamp serves as the Executive Vice President (EVP) for ORC’s Utility & Infrastructure Land Services Division. In this position, he oversees complex strategies and national-level initiatives while collaborating with Divisional Directors to advance market-specific operational objectives. Suedkamp is also an active member of prestigious professional organizations, including the International Right of Way Association and Vistage.
