Charlotte, NC – On Saturday, December 4, O.R. Colan Associates (ORC) has launched our own Founder’s Day in honor of Mr. Colan’s birthday. Mr. Colan was fondly known as “Mr. C” to those who worked with him. ORC was founded in 1969 on the vision and innovation of Owen Richard Colan to serve the emerging real estate needs of public agencies. Our group of companies today continues his legacy of innovation as we continually expand our reach to meet the national demands of increasingly specialized and diverse real estate services for public infrastructure.
In celebration of Founder’s Day, and honoring our organizational value of Social Responsibility, ORC is proud to announce our partnership as a National Corporate Sponsor of the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots this holiday season.

Since its inception, and through partnerships with businesses like ORC, the Marine Corps Reserve has distributed toys annually nationwide. The Marine Toys for Tots program is a nonprofit that helps bring joy to less fortunate children by providing toys during the holiday season. Their mission is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute them to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas time. They have been making a difference in the lives of American families since 1947, having distributed over 600 million toys to date and supported over 270 million children. The program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million children annually.

Toys for Tots, a 74-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness, and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season. The toys, books, and other gifts collected and distributed by our Marines and volunteers during the Christmas season offer these children recognition, confidence, and a positive memory for a lifetime. Toys for Tots also provides support year-round to less fortunate families experiencing challenges and exceptional circumstances, thus sending a message of hope beyond the holiday season. It is such experiences that help children become responsible citizens and caring members of their community.
