Houston, TX – O. R. Colan Associates, LLC (ORC), one of the nation’s oldest firms specializing in land acquisition, relocation and program management for infrastructure projects, is pleased to announce the hiring of Kent Bortz, an 18-year quality expert, as its QA/QC Director.
Mr. Bortz is a Six Sigma Black Belt as well as a Certified Quality Project Manager. Most recently, he was the Quality Director for a large multinational mining services company. There he was responsible for directing the planning, implementation and management of cost-effective Quality Management Systems (QMS) across North America, while adhering to government and industry mandates, utilizing environmental best practices and increasing performance efficiency. Throughout his career, Mr. Bortz designed and deployed solutions to mitigate risks, improve processes, and optimize overall quality levels for a variety of multibillion dollar initiatives, including EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) projects. He has led quality operations across multiple industries and business segments, including government, manufacturing, oil, gas, & chemicals (OG&C), and information technology.
