New Hampshire – O. R. Colan Associates, LLC, (ORC), one of the nation’s oldest firms specializing in land acquisition, relocation, and program management for infrastructure projects, is proud to announce the hiring of John “Chip” Johnson to the role of Project Manager. He will lead the NH Exit 4A I-93 Phase B and C for ORC, and will be responsible for business development and proposals for the New England area.
Mr. Johnson brings over 25 years of experience in right-of-way acquisition services from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT). Mr. Johnson has experience as a Supervisor, Project Manager and Right-of-Way Acquisition and Relocation Agent on federally aided projects requiring property acquisition and residential and business relocations regulated under the authorities of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act of 1970, as amended (49 CFR Part 24); NH RSA 498A; and NH RSA 124A.
Mr. Johnson possesses a thorough understanding of Federal and State of NH Eminent Domain laws, regulations and procedures with an in-depth knowledge of negotiation for property acquisitions and relocation of citizens impacted by public projects, as well as lengthy professional experience in the Right-of-Way disciplines of Title Research and Property Appraisals.
In addition to his high level of right-of-way experience, Mr. Johnson has an impressive list of professional credentials and affiliations. He is long-time member of International Right of Way Association (IRWA), and has taken multiple courses with the IRWA and the National Highway Institute (NHI) for his continuing education in right of way. He was a past International Director, President, Vice-President and Secretary of the International Right-of-Way Association, Chapter 16, and is a New Hampshire Certified Public Manager (CPM).
