Charlotte, NC – O. R. Colan Associates, LLC, (ORC), one of the nation’s oldest firms specializing in land acquisition, relocation, and program management for infrastructure projects, has been awarded a three-year Master Service Agreement with the City of Charlotte, NC for up to $3.9 million. Working with the City’s Storm Water Service Department, ORC will oversee hundreds of small (1-20 parcel) projects in various locations throughout the City. The generally simple project construction will include storm drainage improvements, repairs, and maintenance. All acquisitions under this contract will be acquired by “donation” and are anticipated for completion within 45 days from project commencement.
The City of Charlotte selected ORC in October 2019 and signed our contract in January 2020. At the end of January, the City assigned and released the first set of projects under the contract. ORC’s corresponding management team includes Matthew Starling as Project Manager, Joe Martin as Client Liaison, and Steven King as Project Coordinator.
The City’s Minor Project Program has an estimated five-year timeline and potentially impacts more than 6,500 parcels.
