Lake County Metroparks

Lake County Metroparks has contracted with ORC to perform relocation services in compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisitions Act of 1970, 49 CRF Part 24 for two projects: One in 2009 in Willoughby Hills, OH and one in 2013 in Madison Township, OH.

ORC provided relocation services for six tenants occupying a single-family residence in Willoughby Hills, Lake County, OH. This relocation posed certain challenges, due to the special needs of individuals living in this location. Lake Metroparks facilitated the purchase of the 21-acre property, which required full compliance with 49 CFR Part 24. ORC completed Residential Relocation services that included replacement housing determinations and calculations, displacee claims form completion, replacement site location assistance, replacement site decent, safe, and sanitary inspections, and replacement site move coordination. This site currently serves as the Gully Brook Park Shelter as displayed above.

ORC also provided relocation services for an elderly individual residing in property located in Madison Township, OH. Lake Metroparks facilitated the purchase of a 42-acre property with funds through USDA Housing and Urban Development. ORC completed a pre-acquisition report and residential relocation services that included replacement housing payment determination and calculations, displacee claims form completion, replacement site location assistance, replacement site decent, safe, and sanitary inspections, and replacement site move coordination. This site currently contains the Meadow Rim Trail, part of Hogback Ridge Park.
