In May 2018, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) approved the construction of the Riverton – Sand Lake 345/138 kV electric transmission line. Designed to meet the West Texas area’s growing electric load, the project spans three counties – Loving, Reeves, and Ward – and 40 miles. This project impacted 80 landowners. Oncor began construction for this project in late 2018, with construction expected to continue into Spring 2019, with the transmission line in service by mid-2019. ORC oversaw all permission to surveys, title reports, and acquisition / construction support activities.
